PLMA’s 2023 Salute to Excellence Awards

PLMA's Salute to Excellence Awards have honored retailers for more than 30 years for their innovation in store brands across a wide variety of categories and retail outlets.

Who can Nominate Products?

• Retailers and wholesalers can nominate their own brands.
• Manufacturers, brokers or suppliers can nominate products ONLY with the permission of the retailer or wholesaler for whom they produce or represent the product.

What Products can be Nominated?

• New products introduced within the past 12 months and currently available for purchase by consumers in stores, online or through catalogs
• Products packaged under retailer-owned brand names
• Only one product per category can be submitted
• Products must be specific- not product ranges
• Only one flavor or item per product range

Control or manufacturer brand name products are NOT eligible

DO NOT SEND SAMPLES OF THE ACTUAL PRODUCTS.  DETAILED SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE SENT FOR ACTUAL PRODUCTS UPON RECEIPT OF NOMINATIONS.

How to Nominate:

1. Enter the product information below.
2. If you have a product image, browse to the image using the form then click "Upload".
3. To enter another product, click "Next Product" at the bottom of the form and a new blank form will appear. Repeat as necessary.
4. After completing the product information for all entries, click "Nominated By".
5. Fill out the form and click "Submit".
6. Your entry will be reviewed by PLMA staff and you will receive a confirmation email.  PLMA reserves the right to assign products to the category that best represents their use and to add new categories as appropriate. In addition, PLMA reserves the right to accept or reject products.

7. DO NOT SEND PRODUCTS UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL.  The confirmation email will contain detailed shipping instructions for nominated products.  These instructions must be followed precisely to ensure proper handling and safety.

8. Winners will be notified in October. The awards will be promoted at PLMA's 2023 Private Label Trade Show being held November 12-14 at Chicago's Rosemont Convention Center. Winning products will be displayed at the show and on a special PLMA Winners website throughout the year.
